Childhood Memories

Oh No! My EARS!

Recently, I felt that my ears were blocked in which I cant hear very clearly especially when I am chewing. Besides, there was a "po-po-po" sound came out from my ears. It was really pek-cek, so yesterday I went to clean my ears. This was the second time I did this treatment. The first time was on 2009 and it was three years ago. So, does it means that I need to clean my ears every three years?! LOL

Dr. S.S.Sreetharan who is Ear Nose Throat Consultant of Hospital Pantai Batu Pahat, told me that we dont need to dig our ears because the earwax will come out on its own. If we use cotton sticks to dig our ears, it will eventually push the earwax more inside. As time passes, it will stay inside the ears, harden and block the ears! But my problem is, I seldom dig my ears with cotton sticks, I dig it when I am sleep. I do not know I am digging it and when I wake up in the morning, I discovered that there is earwax on my fingertips. It sounds disgusting but it is true. I also dont know what to do to stop this bad habit, HELPSSSS!

Even though this was the second time, I still feel nervous. #I HATE TO SEE DOCTOR# At first, Dr Sree used a machine to suck the earwax out from my ears. But it seemed that my earwaxes were too 'stubborn' and they refused to come out. So, Dr. Sree used water to flush it. The whole process took about a few minutes and I only felt a little bit painful. It was ok and I did not cry this time. Hahaha... Dr.Sree also let me saw my earwax that was big in size and black in colour. I wonder how can it stay inside my ears for such long times??? After cleaning, I felt a little bit dizziness but this is normal according to Dr. Sree.

The upper side is before cleaning. You can see that there are many earwaxes blocks my ears. My left ear was more serious ( RHS from the pic).
The below one is after treatment. The white sheet is actually my cute eardrum. Hahaha...

It costs a bomb!

So, now I can hear every single sound very clearly even the flow of water. Dr.Sree also said that this problem is very common and cleaning treatment will really improve our hearing. So, dont shy from seeking professional advice!

Malacca trip 2012 Part 2

Yeah! This was our second visit to Malacca in 2012. We love travel to Malacca because there are many shopping malls, delicious foods and interesting places that awaited us to explore. After having breakfast at 阿雷云吞面, we headed to Malacca. Our first destination is none other than the Aeon near Malacca Sentral. Dad and mum like Aeon more as compared to Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade. After that, we went to Baba Charlie Nyonya Cake which we never go before. I found it from other's blog and the great variety of kueh sold attracted my attention. So, this time we purposely wanted to find out the location of that homemade nyonya cake house.

Luckily, GPS brought us there!

It is situated opposite Masjid Tengkera. You will see the roadsign as above.
We parked the car outside and walked in.

Mum said, 每一样都拿一个来试试看=.=

The boss said they had wedding dinner at night, so they did not make many kueh...

These were all the kueh we brought plus one gula malacca cost RM18.50 if not mistaken.

Then, we went to Coconut Shake at Jalan Klebang. Also a first time visit and I discovered it online. This is a Malay mamak stall which sells very famous and special coconut shake. It is near Pantai Klebang and by the way, we came out from Baba Charlie Nyonya Cake House and drive straight on, we will see a junction as below. Turn to the right side of the road and drive until you see Cartex Petrol Station. The mamak stall is just situated beside it.

Dad purposely asked me to shoot this down because we wont get lost next time. Hahaha...

Unfortunately, the mamak stall was not operated when we arrived. We forgot that day was Friday and Malays are suppose to go to mosque. Looked at the watch, that time was 1.15pm. No wonder we just saw the coconut at the roadside but nobody else. Argh, next time must choose the good time and go to try that! No coconut shake to quench thirsty, we headed to Mahkota Parade. With the help of GPS, we managed to avoid the traffic jam at 红屋 there and passing through the road at the back of Mahkota Parade. There are  three shopping malls at that area, Mahkota Parade, Dataran Pahlawan and newly-opened Hilton. We shopped at all the shopping malls and really 脚酸! Eventually we rest at the sofa provided at the malls to relax for a while.

A place that we will never miss when going to Malacca is Jonker Street! The night market is operated on    every Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. Dad wanted to taste the 鸳鸯laksa at Jonker 88 which he know it from TV program.

June Holidays Part 1

Time passes flies, I have come back to BP for one weeks more. Life here is much relaxing and happier. I dont need to worry about what to eat for lunch and dinner, I just enjoy doing the things that I love and spend precious moments with my lovely family. This is all I want!

For the first week of holidays, I enjoyed baking life with my aunt. We tried to make butter cake, malay kueh and ondeh-ondeh! Glad that aunt is interested in baking! Please make more, so that I will have more food to eat! Hahaha...

Home-cooked dinner! Thanks mum^^

Also, I followed dad to sing K on last Wednesday night. Even though they all sing old and classic song, I still enjoy myself and sang a Hokkien song with dad. ( I failed in speaking Hokkien actually). I just have the courage to stand on the stage because I think my voice is better than some of the aunties =P!

Besides, I registered as a eligible voter at post office on last Thursday. It was very easy as I only need to pass my IC to the staff and sign in the form in which the form is computer-typed one. I don't need to fill any form, it is so much easier and time-saving.

Last Friday, I went to historical city, Malacca with dad and mum. Malacca is always our favourite and we dont tired of going there. Think back, our last visit to Malacca was during Chinese New Year. I will write about Malacca trip 2012 Part 2 later on!

And... and... last Sunday was my dear laopo, Rui's birthday. We celebrated her 21st birthday at Secret Recipe. This was our first gathering after came back. See, without Emily, our gathering is postponed and postponed =( Also, others sotongsister were not coming back on this school holidays, so only 4 of us from IPG attended.
