Malacca trip 2012 Part 2

Yeah! This was our second visit to Malacca in 2012. We love travel to Malacca because there are many shopping malls, delicious foods and interesting places that awaited us to explore. After having breakfast at 阿雷云吞面, we headed to Malacca. Our first destination is none other than the Aeon near Malacca Sentral. Dad and mum like Aeon more as compared to Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade. After that, we went to Baba Charlie Nyonya Cake which we never go before. I found it from other's blog and the great variety of kueh sold attracted my attention. So, this time we purposely wanted to find out the location of that homemade nyonya cake house.

Luckily, GPS brought us there!

It is situated opposite Masjid Tengkera. You will see the roadsign as above.
We parked the car outside and walked in.

Mum said, 每一样都拿一个来试试看=.=

The boss said they had wedding dinner at night, so they did not make many kueh...

These were all the kueh we brought plus one gula malacca cost RM18.50 if not mistaken.

Then, we went to Coconut Shake at Jalan Klebang. Also a first time visit and I discovered it online. This is a Malay mamak stall which sells very famous and special coconut shake. It is near Pantai Klebang and by the way, we came out from Baba Charlie Nyonya Cake House and drive straight on, we will see a junction as below. Turn to the right side of the road and drive until you see Cartex Petrol Station. The mamak stall is just situated beside it.

Dad purposely asked me to shoot this down because we wont get lost next time. Hahaha...

Unfortunately, the mamak stall was not operated when we arrived. We forgot that day was Friday and Malays are suppose to go to mosque. Looked at the watch, that time was 1.15pm. No wonder we just saw the coconut at the roadside but nobody else. Argh, next time must choose the good time and go to try that! No coconut shake to quench thirsty, we headed to Mahkota Parade. With the help of GPS, we managed to avoid the traffic jam at 红屋 there and passing through the road at the back of Mahkota Parade. There are  three shopping malls at that area, Mahkota Parade, Dataran Pahlawan and newly-opened Hilton. We shopped at all the shopping malls and really 脚酸! Eventually we rest at the sofa provided at the malls to relax for a while.

A place that we will never miss when going to Malacca is Jonker Street! The night market is operated on    every Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. Dad wanted to taste the 鸳鸯laksa at Jonker 88 which he know it from TV program.
