Bina Insan Guru III

Today is our J16 BIG day. BIG here not means wedding day but we need to go to primary school to organise some activities for students. We gathered at Petronas at about 7am before we headed to SJK(C) Chung Tek, Simee. I went to Simee once before and I miss Simee famous egg-tart. Haha... Once reached there, we started to arrange tables and chairs so that we can put all our things nicely on the table. About 8am, the opening ceremony started. As usual, speech was given by our mentor, Dr Ong and the president of BIG, Shin Wei. Then, Shin Lin and I who are incharged of the food, accompanied headmistress of the school and Dr Ong to go to canteen to have some Nyonya kueh. When we were about to leave, they called us to stay back and eat together with them. So, two of us sat there, ate kueh, listen to their talking which is a mixture of Mandarin, Inggeris dan Cantonese =.= We also packed all the leftover kueh and drinks before went back to the hall. Our stall name is 数字一把抓 and there were three games for students. One is about the four operation, 2nd one is about Bingo Number and the 3rd one is about Multiplication game. Kids are very cute and some are shy while some are very friendly. When talked to the kids, I need to speak louder. Don't why, some of my friends also noticed about this @@ Besides, the level of the students are also distinct. A standard one student can answer addition up to hundreds while some standard three students also don't know multiplication up to 9. So, I think that parents should let their children to attend mental arithmetic class since young. This is because children learn faster and their memory is much more better at that age. The exhibition ended at 1pm and finally we can tidy up all the things and going back home. It is really tired because I need to wake up earlier than the time going to campus and the poor ventilation in the hall make me feel dizziness... All in all, this BIG really motivates me in the sense that I am satisfied when students say they are happy when visit  our exhibition and they found out that math is fun. =D
