Yeah, finally i had time to blog about family trip to Penang, Ipoh and KL. Dad and mum always said that they want to visit Ipoh because I always talk about how delicious are Ipoh food and how beautiful is the places that I visited. So, in the journey of attending cousin wedding, they took some day off to come to visit the mountain city and pearl island! Thanks to bro for being the driver who is super pro and never fails to lead us to the right destination. All in all, it was a fun fun trip... xD
14 Nov, my family came all the way from BP to Ipoh to pick me up. Before heading to Penang, I brought them to have the famous Lou Wong ngah choi gai and Funny Mountain dou fu hua.
It was raining heavily when we were on the way to Penang. We arrived homestay at about 6pm and there was a family come from Japan lived there too. Great that i can use my broken japanese to talk to them, Konnichiwa, Kamsamida, Sayonara... Hahaha... From the conversation, I get to know that they came here just to avoid from the radiation and they planned to settle down in malaysia and started to work here just for their children sake. After check-in homestay and rest for a while, we went to bridegroom's house for wedding eve buffet party. The food were nice and there were two stalls that specially serving ice kacang and fried kuey teow after you ordered! After that, we went to Gurney Plaza! Look there is Christmas decoration at that time!
The second day, we woke up early in the morning just to dress up ourselves to attend ROM in the grand Macalister Mansion. The environment and decoration were so nice and we really enjoy taking lots of photo. Hahaha... After attending ROM, we changed our attire and headed to Queensbay Mall! We didn't shop for too long because we need to rush back to prepare ourselves for the wedding dinner. And, you know the traffic jam in Penang is crazy especially during evening. Wedding dinner was at Maple Palace and all the food served were yummy. I like 'jiak dor' (hokkien)! =P
The next day, we went to Pasar Air Itam to have the famous and popular old grandma curry mee who sat by the roadside to sell curry mee. We also visited Kek Lok Si and mural too. It was very hot and we just managed to find some of the mural...
After that, we headed to Ipoh. I slept on the way to Ipoh and it was raining when we almost reached Ipoh. Dinner was at the famous hawker centre, 冬菇亭 and we shopped at Aeon Station 18 after dinner! Supper was Tong Shui Kai, having ice kacang in the cold weather...
Food at 冬菇亭
The next day, we were having breakfast at my strongly-recommended curry mee, 新泉方. We waited for almost an hour... The meals costs more than rm50, a bit expensive for the breakfast but worth the price! Miss the crispy pork!
Again, not forgot to see Ipoh mural. Dad and mum are just so cute. Haha...
Lunch was 大树下炸酿料. It was crowded too due to holidays. We also brought some famous peanut candy at the 明裕食品. Yes, we queue for 30minutes!
Kelie Castle^^ A nice place for photo shooting!
Gunung Lang! Waterfall is so amazing!
Dinner was western cuisine at Yeolde English!
